The story behind the cranes

The thousand origami cranes represent a special gift I once made for my Sensei. Folding all 1,000 cranes became a meaningful experience, one that taught me a lot about patience, dedication, gratitude, and the care we can express through small, intentional acts.

In Japanese tradition, a collection of a thousand origami cranes is known as senbazuru. The crane is associated with longevity and good fortune, and a senbazuru is often created as an expression of heartfelt wishes for health, happiness, recovery, and peace. Each folded crane becomes a small gesture of hope, carrying the intention of the person who made it.

From a thousand cranes to every client

Each crane I folded was an expression of gratitude, care, and intention. It was something I wanted to carry forward into my massage practice.

Today, I fold one small origami crane for each of my clients as a personal thank-you and a wish for their good luck, happiness, peace, and well-being.
